La Chapelle-Hermier is a French municipality with 898 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Les Sables d'Olonne and the canton of Talmont-Saint-Hilaire (until 2015 canton of La Mothe-Achard ). The inhabitants are called Chapelois .

La Chapelle-Hermier is located about 22 kilometers west of La Roche-sur-Yon and about 21 kilometers north-northeast of Les Sables-d'Olonne . In the south, the Jaunay borders the community. La Chapelle-Hermier is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Coëx in the north and north-west, Aizenay in the east and north-east, Martinet in the east and south-east, Saint-Julien-des-Landes in the south, Landevieille in the south-west and L'Aiguillon-sur-Vie in the west .
