Location of the association of municipalities in the Pays de la Loire region

The Communauté de communes du Pays des Achard is a French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire . It was founded on December 29, 1992 and comprises eleven parishes. The administrative headquarters are in the village of Les Achards .

Historical development

With effect from January 1, 2017, the municipalities of La Chapelle-Achard and La Mothe-Achard merged to form Commune nouvelle Les Achards . In addition, the municipality of Saint-Mathurin moved to the municipality association Les Sables-d'Olonne Agglomération . This reduced the number of member communities from eleven to currently nine.
