Johann Christian von Schulzen

Johann Christian von Schulzen (* before 1670; † February 17, 1750 ) was lieutenant general of the Electorate of Braunschweig-Lüneburg , chief of the cavalry regiment R4-A and commander of Stade .

His father Heinrich Christoph von Schulzen († November 16, 1702) was senior bailiff in the Principality of Calenberg and received the nobility from the king. His brother Conrad Kaspar von Schulzne was Drost von Borculo .

Johann Christian went into military service early, became a colonel on March 5, 1715 and received a cavalry regiment. On May 4, 1728 he was brigadier of the regiment and on June 26, 1736 major general. On June 7, 1739 he was promoted to lieutenant general. He died on the night of February 16-17, 1750 at the age of over 80.

He was married to the widow of the Privy Councilor Johann Friedrich von Staffort zu Stade. The marriage remained without children.
