The Vertonne is a river in France that runs in the Vendée department in the Pays de la Loire region . It rises in the northern municipal area of Poiroux , near the hamlet of La Gaborinière in the neighboring municipality of Grosbreuil , generally drains west to northwest and flows into the river after 33 kilometers at the municipal boundary of L'Île-d'Olonne and Olonne-sur-Mer as a left tributary Auzance .
