Olonne-sur-Mer is a former French commune in the Vendée department in the Pays de la Loire region . On January 1, 2019, it was incorporated into the Commune nouvelle Les Sables-d'Olonne . It initially had the status of a commune déléguée , but this was withdrawn by a resolution of the municipal council on February 4, 2019.

The village is located on the Bay of Biscaya , 104 kilometers southwest of Nantes .
