The Communauté de communes du Pays du Gois is a former French association of municipalities with the legal form of a Communauté de communes in the department of Vendée in the region of Pays de la Loire . It was founded on December 14, 2000 under the name Communauté de communes du Marais Breton Nord and later renamed to its current name. The community association comprised four communities, the administrative seat was in the place Beauvoir-sur-Mer .

Historical development

With effect from January 1, 2017, the community association merged with the Communauté de communes du Pays de Challans and thus formed the successor organization Challans-Gois Communauté .

tasks

The tasks of the community association include promoting economic development and tourism in the region, disposing of waste and maintaining the cultural and sports facilities. In addition, development plans are drawn up and the industrial and commercial parks are managed.
