Brandois Castle in La Mothe-Achard

The modern Brandois Castle in La Mothe-Achard , a part of the municipality of Les Achards in the French department of Vendée in the Pays de la Loire region , was built in the 1860s.

The two-storey castle was built for Baron Jean Foucher according to plans by the architect Paul Guillerot in the neo-Gothic style.

In 1968 the castle with a 20-hectare estate was bought by a non-profit organization that set up a training center for adults there.

A hotel with a restaurant has been housed in the castle since 2009.
