The N181 was a French national road that ran between Pacy-sur-Eure and Breteuil in 1824. It goes back to route 36 impériale. Their length was 108 kilometers. In 1973 the N1 was laid between Beauville and Abbeville via Amiens. As a result, it took over the section between Beauvais and Breteuil from the N181. The rest of the N181 has been graduated. The section taken over from the N1 has also been graduated since 2006.
