The N211 was a French national road established in 1898 between the N85 west of Séranon and Entrevaux . It was created as a strategic axis and does not go back to any route impériale, as it lies on the territory of the former county of Nice , which only became part of France in 1860. Their length was 40 kilometers. In the Michelinkarte 81 from 1966, the section between an intersection at Castellet-Saint-Cassien and Briançonnet is marked as “chemin de chars”, and north of it as a difficult / dangerous route. In 1973 the graduation took place. In 1978 the number was used again for the former route of the N514 B and thus as a function of a side branch of the N201. This was downgraded in 2006.
