The N187 was a French national road that was laid down in 1824 to run between Sèvres and Puteaux on the banks of the Seine. Their length was 7 kilometers. In 1933 it was extended by 6.5 kilometers south to Petit-Clamart. From 1971 to 1973 this southern part of the N187 was expanded into an expressway with a slight change in the course at the ends. In 1973 the expressway was renumbered to Autoroute F18 and the N187 led over part of the route of the N189 and N189 A to the Quai d'Issy on the Boulevard Périphérique. The old route parallel to the expressway became the N287. In 1993 the N187 and the N287 were downgraded. The F18 was renumbered to the N118 in 1978.

N187a

The N187 A was established in 1933 as a branch of the N187 between Sèvres and Petit-Clamart. In the same year she became a side branch of the N306 with the number N306 A rededicated.
