The N185 was a French national road established between Versailles and Saint-Cloud in 1824. Their length was 8 kilometers. In 1933 it was extended by the Bois de Boulogne to the Paris city limits at Porte Maillot. It was taken down from its route through Saint-Cloud to the N187 (this section fell on the new N307) and led over the Gc70 to Suresnes to the Seine bridge. From then on, its length was 16.5 kilometers. In 1993 it was downgraded.
