The Route nationale 154 , or N 154 or RN 154 for short , is a French national road .

The street number was first established in 1824 and added to the national road network. It goes back to the route impériale 174. Their total length was 146 kilometers.

From this year the route led from Pont-de-l'Arche to Artenay .

In 1949 it took over the 5-kilometer section between Lèves and Chartres from the N10, which was placed on a new route between Rambouillet and Chartres that year.

In 1960 there was a small change in the route, which was made necessary by the opening of a new route for the RN 13 BIS . Between Le Vaudreuil and Nonancourt , as well as Dreux and Chartres , the road was expanded into an expressway, which was upgraded to the A154 autoroute in 1996 between Le Vaudreuil and Louviers-Sud . In 2006 the section between Allaines-Mervilliers and Artenay was downgraded.

The section between Nonancourt and Dreux is also to be expanded as a dual carriageway in the future, as the national road N154 between the junction at the Autoroute A13 at La Vaudreuil and the RN 254 (connection to exit 12 of the Autoroute A10 ; was part of the RN 827 until 1973 ) at Janville is part of the first variant of the Grand contournement de Paris .

N154 A

The N154 A was a branch of the N154, which emerged from the eastern N12 within Dreux when the N12 was placed on the newly created northern bypass. It was renumbered in 1978 to N254 and is now a municipal road.

N254

The N254 is a side branch of the N154, which connects it to junction 12 of the A10. Its length is 2.5 kilometers. It was set in 2006. From 1933 to 1973 this road was already a national road as part of the N827 and in the meantime was numbered D927 until it was upgraded again.
