The Route nationale 173 , or N 173 for short, or RN 173 , was a French national road that was established between Granville and Avranches in 1824. It goes back to the route impériale 193. Their length was 24 kilometers. In 1978 the road number N173 was used to connect the N73 with junction 3 of the A36 west of Besançon. In 2006 this road was downgraded to D67.
