The N 24bis was a French national road .

The route was added to the national road network in 1839. Until 1973 the route ran between Verneuil-sur-Avre and Granville. To do this, it took over the section between Granville and Villedieu-les-Poêles from the N175. The length of the N24bis was 209 kilometers.

The section between Argentan and Granville was graduated in 1973. In 1978 the remaining section between Verneuil-sur-Avre and Argentan became the N26.

In 2006, the remainder of the original route was downgraded to Département roads .

A special feature of the N 24bis was that it was not a side branch of the N 24 and therefore did not cross at any intersection with it. The N 24bis is a branch of the N 12.
