The Route nationale 26 , shortly N 26 or RN 26 , was a French national road .
The road ran from 1824 to 1973 between the N13bis west of Yvetot and Fécamp . Its history goes back to Route Impériale 29 , which was 29 kilometers long. With the downgrading of the original route in 1973, the number was assigned to the section of the N 24bis between Verneuil-sur-Avre and Argentan in 1978 :
- N 24 bis Verneuil-sur-Avre - Argentan
This section was downgraded to a route départementale in 2006 and has been numbered D 926 since then. Since then, there has been no national road with the number 26 in France.
