EU border crossing France - Germany

The Route nationale 62 , or N 62 or RN 62 for short , was a French national road .

The street number was first added to the national road network in 1824. Until 1973 the route ran from Haguenau to the border with Germany at Hornbach . It goes back to route 80 impériale. Their length was 60 kilometers.

In 1973 the section from Bitsch to the border was downgraded and from 1978 it ran between Saargemünd and Haguenau:

  • D 962 state border - Bitsch
  • N 410 Saargemünd - Bitsch
  • N 62 Bitsch - Haguenau

In 2006 all sections were downgraded to departmental roads:

  • D 662 Saargemünd - Département border
  • D 1062 department border - Haguenau (with the exception of the crossing of Haguenau)

N2062

The N2062 was a side branch of the N62, which arose from the through-town of Saargemünd when it was moved to a bypass road in 1991. It has had the number D974 since 2006.
