The Route National 73 , just north 73 or RN 73 , was a French national road .

history

From 1824 to 1973 the road ran between Moulins and the N19 west of Hésingue . It goes back to route 91 impériale. The course of the road was split in half by Switzerland . The total length was 368.5 kilometers. In 1973 the national road was downgraded to La Villeneuve - Besançon ; In addition, it took over the N83bis that year, so that its route lay between Chalon-sur-Saône and Besançon until 2006 :

  • N 83 bis Chalon-sur-Saône - La Villeneuve
  • N 73 La Villeneuve - Besançon

In 1973 the sections from Moulins to Chevagnes and from Luzy to Autun were taken over by national  roads 79 and  81, respectively. Furthermore, the section of the N 73 between Besançon and Clerval , which interrupted the national road 83 , was closed. In 2006, the N 73 was completely downgraded.
