Luzy is a French commune with 1,980 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Nièvre in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the arrondissement of Château-Chinon (Ville) and the canton of Luzy . The place is on the banks of the Alène River .

There has been a twinning between the city of Luzy and the German city ​​of Emmelshausen since 1985 .

In 2015, various joint events and celebrations took place on both sides to celebrate the company's 30th anniversary, including a painting competition in which kindergartens and schools in both communities sent in pictures that symbolize German-French friendship.
