Chaumard is a French municipality with 208 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Nièvre in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Château-Chinon (Ville) and the canton of Château-Chinon (until 2015 Montsauche-les-Settons ).

geography

Chaumard is about sixty kilometers east-northeast of Nevers in the Morvan . The west of the municipality is shaped by the reservoir Réservoir de Pannecière . Chaumard is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Ouroux-en-Morvan in the north and east, Planchez in the east, Corancy in the south-east, Châtin in the south and south-west, Montigny-en-Morvan in the west and Mhère in the north-west.
