Biches is a French municipality with 287 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Nièvre in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Château-Chinon (Ville) and the canton of Château-Chinon (until 2015 Châtillon-en-Bazois ).

Biches is about 38 kilometers east-northeast of Nevers . The Canal du Nivernais runs along the northeastern edge , which here represents a canalization of the Aron . Biches is surrounded by the neighboring communities Alluy in the north and north-west, Brinay in the east and north-east, Limanton in the east and south-east, Montigny-sur-Canne in the south, Fertrève in the south-west and Tintury in the west.
