history
The mechanization of agriculture and the lack of industry led to heavy emigration in the late 19th and 20th centuries. The community belonged to the Château-Chinon district from 1793 to 1801. It was also part of the canton of Mont Reuillon from 1793 to 1801. Since 1801 the community has belonged to the canton of Château-Chinon (temporarily: Château-Chinon (Ville) ). In 1820 the previously independent municipality of Poussignol (1806: 390 inhabitants) was incorporated. The community changed names several times. From 1793 to 1801 it was called Blime , from 1801 to 1902 it was called Blimes and has been called since then.
