Larochemillay is located about 62 kilometers east-southeast of Nevers in the Morvan . The municipality is crossed by the small river Roche . Larochemillay is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Villapourçon in the north and northwest, Glux-en-Glenne in the north and northeast, Saint-Léger-sous-Beuvray in the northeast, Poil in the east, Millay in the south and Chiddes in the west and southwest.
