Fours is a commune with 645 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Nièvre in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the arrondissement of Château-Chinon (Ville) and the canton of Luzy (until 2015: canton of Fours ).
geography
Fours is about 47 kilometers east-southeast of Nevers . The Alène river limits the municipality to the north. Fours is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Thaix in the north, Rémilly in the east, La Nocle-Maulaix in the south and south-east, Montambert in the south and south-west and Cercy-la-Tour in the west and north-west.
