Limanton is a French municipality with 240 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Nièvre in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016: Burgundy ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Château-Chinon (Ville) and the canton of Château-Chinon (until 2015: canton of Montsauche-les-Settons ). The inhabitants are called Beursonniers .

geography

Limanton is about 50 kilometers east of Nevers am Aron (partly canalized as Canal du Nivernais ). Limanton is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Brinay in the north and northwest, Maux in the north and northeast, Moulins-Engilbert in the east, Vandenesse and Isenay in the south, Montigny-sur-Canne in the southwest and Biches in the west.
