geography

Sémelay is located about 55 kilometers east-southeast of Nevers on the edge of the Morvan . Sémelay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Honoré-les-Bains in the north, Villapourçon in the north-east, Chiddes in the east, Avrée and Lanty in the south, Rémilly in the west and south-west and Vandenesse in the north-west.
