Saint-Hilaire-en-Morvan is a French commune of 220 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Nièvre in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Burgundy ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Château-Chinon (Ville) and the canton of Château-Chinon (until 2015 Château-Chinon (Ville) ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Hilairiens .

Saint-Hilaire-en-Morvan is located about 55 kilometers east-northeast of Nevers . Saint-Hilaire-en-Morvan is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Châtin in the north, Corancy in the northeast, Château-Chinon (Campagne) and Château-Chinon (Ville) in the east, Saint-Léger-de-Fougeret in the south, Sermages in the southwest as well as Dommartin in the west.
