Gouloux is a French municipality with 181 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Nièvre in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Château-Chinon (Ville) and the canton of Château-Chinon (until 2015 Montsauche-les-Settons ).

Gouloux is about 70 kilometers east-northeast of Nevers in the Morvan . Gouloux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Brisson in the north and east, Alligny-en-Morvan in the east and south-east, Moux-en-Morvan in the south and south-east, Montsauche-les-Settons in the south and west and Dun-les-Places in the Northwest.
