Montigny-en-Morvan is a French municipality with 290 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Nièvre in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Château-Chinon (Ville) and the canton of Château-Chinon (until 2015 Château-Chinon (Ville) ).

Montigny-en-Morvan is located about 80 kilometers south-southeast of Auxerre . The Yonne limits the municipality to the north. Montigny-en-Morvan is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mhère in the north, Chaumard in the east, Châtin in the south and south-east, Blismes in the south and west and Montreuillon in the north-west.
