Neighboring municipalities of Montreuillon are Cervon and Vauclaix in the north, Mhère in the east and northeast, Montigny-en-Morvan in the east and southeast, Blismes in the south and southeast, Aunay-en-Bazois in the southwest, Epiry in the west and Mouron-sur-Yonne in the Northwest.
