Saint-Germain-des-Bois is a French commune of 120 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Nièvre in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Clamecy and the canton of Clamecy ( Tannay until 2015 ).

Neighboring communities of Saint-Germain-des-Bois are Ouagne in the north and north-west, Amazy in the east, Tannay in the east and south-east, Talon in the south and south-east, Beuvron in the west and south-west and Cuncy-lès-Varzy in the west.
