Epiry is about 52 kilometers northeast of Nevers on the edge of the Morvan . Epiry is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sardy-lès-Épiry in the north and west, Mouron-sur-Yonne in the north and north-east, Montreuillon in the east and Aunay-en-Bazois in the south and west.
