geography
Ruages is about 55 kilometers south-southeast of Auxerre on the Yonne , which borders the municipality in the west. The neighboring municipalities of Rouages are Saizy in the north and northeast, Neuffontaines and Moissy-Moulinot in the northeast, Anthien in the east, Corbigny and Chitry-les-Mines in the south, Marigny-sur-Yonne in the southwest, Dirol in the west and Monceaux-le-Comte in the Northwest.
