Taconnay is a French municipality with 77 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Nièvre in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Clamecy and the canton of Corbigny ( Brinon-sur-Beuvron until 2015 ).

Taconnay is located about 45 kilometers northeast of Nevers on the edge of the Morvan . Taconnay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Beuvron in the north, Grenois in the east, Brinon-sur-Beuvron in the south, Chevannes-Changy in the west and south-west and Parigny-la-Rose in the west and north-west.
