Vitry-Laché is about 40 kilometers northeast of Nevers on the edge of the Morvan . Vitry-Laché is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Guipy in the north, Pazy in the north-east, La Collancelle in the east and south-east, Bazolles in the south and south-east, Crux-la-Ville in the south and south-west and Saint-Révérien in the west and north-west.
