Sardy-lès-Épiry is about 60 kilometers south-southeast of Auxerre on the Canal du Nivernais and the Yonne , which borders the municipality in the east. Sardy-lès-Épiry is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Corbigny in the north, Cervon in the northeast, Mouron-sur-Yonne in the east, Epiry in the southeast, Aunay-en-Bazois in the south, Achun in the southwest, La Collancelle in the west and Pazy in the Northwest.
