La Maison-Dieu is a French municipality with 121 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Nièvre in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Clamecy and the canton of Clamecy ( Tannay until 2015 ).

La Maison-Dieu is about 43 kilometers south-southeast of Auxerre . Neighboring municipalities of La Maison-Dieu are Brèves in the north and west, Chamoux in the north, Vézelay in the north-east, Fontenay-près-Vézelay in the east, Nuars in the south and south-east, Teigny in the south and Metz-le-Comte in the south and south-west.

The community is located on Via Lemovicensis , one of the four historic " Way of the Pilgrims in France ".
