Beaulieu is a French municipality with 159 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Nièvre in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Clamecy and the canton of Corbigny .

It was created with effect from January 1, 2016 as the Commune nouvelle of the same name through the amalgamation of the previous municipalities of Beaulieu , Dompierre-sur-Héry and Michaugues , which have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Beaulieu.

geography

Beaulieu is around 20 kilometers south of Clamecy . Neighboring communities are Brinon-sur-Beuvron in the north-west, Moraches in the north, Héry in the east, Guipy in the south-east and Neuilly in the south-west. The Beuvron River runs along the western boundary of the municipality .
