Nuars is a French municipality with 156 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Nièvre in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Clamecy and the canton of Clamecy ( Tannay until 2015 ).

Nuars is about 50 kilometers south-southeast of Auxerre . The neighboring communities of Nuars are La Maison-Dieu in the north and north-west, Parigny-près-Vézelay in the north, Saint-Aubin-des-Chaumes in the east, Neuffontaines in the south-east, Saizy in the south, Vignol in the south-west and Teigny in the west.
