Germenay is a French municipality with 145 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Nièvre in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Clamecy and the canton of Corbigny ( Brinon-sur-Beuvron until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Germenais .

geography

Germenay is about 65 kilometers south of Auxerre on the edge of the Morvan . Germenay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Challement in the north, Dirol in the northeast, Marigny-sur-Yonne in the east, Chaumot in the southeast, Héry in the south, Moraches in the west and Asnan in the northwest.
