Marigny-sur-Yonne is about 58 kilometers south of Auxerre on the Yonne and the Canal du Nivernais . Marigny-sur-Yonne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Dirol in the north, Ruages in the northeast, Chitry-les-Mines in the east and southeast, Chaumot in the south and Germenay in the west.
