Corbigny is a French commune with 1,482 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Nièvre in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Clamecy and the canton of Corbigny . The inhabitants are called the Corbigeois .

The Anguison in Corbigny

Corbigny lies on the Anguison , a tributary of the Yonne , which forms the southwestern municipal boundary. Corbigny is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Monceaux-le-Comte are Ruages in the north, Anthien in the north and northeast, Magny-Lormes in the northeast, Cervon in the east, Sardy-lès-Épiry in the south, Pazy in the southwest and Chaumot and Chitry-les -Mines in the west.

The former Routes nationales 77bis (today's D977bis), 458 (today's D958) and 485 (today's D985) run through the municipality . Corbigny is located on a section of the Via Lemovicensis , one of the four historical " Routes of the St. James pilgrims in France ".
