Tadeusz Bukowski (born April 22, 1909 in Warsaw , Poland ; † November 21, 1980 there ) was a photographer and war journalist who became known for his reports and pictures about the Warsaw Uprising .

life and work

Bukowski was an employee of the information and propaganda office of the Polish underground army (Biuro Informacji i Propagandy (Komendy Głównej Związku Walki Zbrojnej - Armii Krajowej)). He managed to produce extensive photo series of the occupation of Warsaw and the Warsaw Uprising. The pictures became very popular. For his extensive work he was awarded by the Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique .
