Tintury is a French municipality with 183 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Nièvre in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Château-Chinon (Ville) and the canton of Château-Chinon (until 2015 Châtillon-en-Bazois ).

Tintury is about 32 kilometers east-northeast of Nevers in the foothills of the Morvan and on the River Canne . Tintury is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Rouy in the north and north-west, Alluy in the north and north-east, Biches in the east, Fertrève in the south and Frasnay-Reugny in the west.
