Rouy is a French municipality with 613 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Nièvre in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Nevers and the Canton of Guérigny (until 2015: Canton Saint-Saulge ).

Rouy is about 62 kilometers south of Auxerre and about 25 kilometers east-northeast of Nevers an der Canne . Rouy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Saulge in the north, Montapas in the north and northeast, Alluy in the east, Tintury in the south and southeast, Frasnay-Reugny in the south, Billy-Chevannes in the southwest and Saxi-Bourdon in the northwest.
