Challuy is located in central France on the Loire and the Canal latéral à la Loire . Challuy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Nevers in the north and northeast, Sermoise-sur-Loire in the east and southeast, Magny-Cours in the south, Saincaize-Meauce in the southwest, Gimouille in the west and Marzy in the west.
