from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Griffes d'Ange is a graphic poem and comic by the Chilean author and mystic Alejandro Jodorowsky and the French comic artist Moebius . In the work, the two men show the development of a sexually underdeveloped / oppressed woman who, through sadomasochistic experiments and experiences, detaches herself from the overpowering image of the father and experiences sexual and spiritual enlightenment.

content

At the funeral of a young woman's father, Griffes d'Ange, the deceased refuses to disappear into the ground. He wants to dance with his widows. Only with an effort can he be buried under the corpses of his widows. The young woman returns to town and follows a strong sperm smell into a mysterious house. There, her father awaits her with an erection and demands the diamond of her menstrual blood from her . She gives him the blood; he cuts off his penis, floods it with his blood and invites them to investigate the past. She enters the house and experiences various scenes in which mother, father, infinity, all kinds of sadomasochism and some forms of "body alteration", including the closing of her vagina, play a role. Eventually she gets a penis.

She returns to her father's grave, where a young male angel awaits her, with whom she has sex. Now she understands that male sexuality doesn't have to be oppressive. Then she leaves her body and experiences a kind of enlightenment.

publication

The work was first published in 1994 by Les Humanoïdes Associés ; In 1996 the German edition appeared under the title Des Engels Kralle in Edition Kunst der Comics .

Emergence

Jodorowsky described the impulse for the work as follows: “I have just created a 70-page porno work with Moebius; The initiation of a girl with the Oedipus complex is described in fantastic drawings, one drawing per page. The aim was to show that you can create art out of the elements of hardcore porn and sadomasochism. "
