Urzy is a French commune with 1,775 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Nièvre in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Nevers and the Canton of Guérigny .
geography
The community is located in the Nièvre valley just before it flows into the Loire , around seven kilometers northeast of Nevers . Neighboring municipalities are Guérigny in the north, Balleray in the northeast, Saint-Martin-d'Heuille in the east, Coulanges-lès-Nevers in the south, Varennes-Vauzelles in the west and Parigny-les-Vaux in the northwest.
