The Canton Guérigny is a French constituency in the district Nevers in the department of Nièvre and the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté ; its main town is Guérigny , and Pascal Reuillard ( PCF ) was the representative in the General Council of the Département from 2001 to 2015 .

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the eight municipalities of Balleray , Guérigny , Nolay , Ourouër , Poiseux , Saint-Martin-d'Heuille , Urzy and Varennes-Vauzelles belonged to the canton of Guérigny . Its layout corresponded to an area of ​​189.13 km ² . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 5826.
