The canton of Saint-Pierre-le-Moûtier is a French constituency in the district Nevers , in the department of Nièvre and the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté ; its main town is Saint-Pierre-le-Moûtier , Christian Barle has been a representative in the General Council of the Département since 2001, re-elected in 2008.

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of Saint-Pierre-le-Moûtier included the eight municipalities of Azy-le-Vif , Chantenay-Saint-Imbert , Langeron , Livry , Luthenay-Uxeloup , Mars-sur-Allier , Saint -Parize-le-Châtel and Saint-Pierre-le-Moûtier . Its layout corresponded to an area of 291.87 km 2 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 5822.
