The Canton Prémery was 2015 a French constituency in the district Cosne-Cours-sur-Loire , in Nièvre and in the region of Burgundy ; its main town was Prémery . The last representative on the General Council was Jacques Legrain from 1998 to 2015.

The canton of Prémery was 246.82 km² and had (1999) 4080 inhabitants. It was on average 275 meters above sea level, between 212 meters in Sichamps and 415 meters in Montenoison .
